Grow it out

If you normally shave or trim your dog’s coat very short, give it a break in winter. Longer fur will keep her warmer when the temperatures fall. When you give your pup a bath, make sure she’s totally dry before you take her outside. When you come in from the rain or snow, dry her with a towel or even a blow dryer. Even though our four-legged friends have fur, they can get plenty cold, too.
