Humidify your bedroom

Run a humidifier in your bedroom at night to combat the drying effects of winter heating. Hudacek recommends keeping the air at 30 to 50 percent humidity. You can measure humidity levels with an inexpensive device called a hygrometer, which you can find at a hardware store.

For safety’s sake, buy a humidifier with an auto-shut-off valve, so it will turn off automatically when it runs out of water. Be sure to clean the machine and change the filters as directed so bacteria won’t grow inside your humidifier.
