Morocco

This northwestern African country reports the worst drought in nearly a decade. UNICEF says about 70 percent of the country’s farmlands are affected by the drought. According to the Moroccan government, the frequency of droughts has increased over the last decade. Euronews reports Morocco frequently deals with long periods of droughts, often followed by floods that destroy “everything in their path.”
