Clean your oven with baking soda

You want to get rid of the gunk that has built up in your oven, but oven cleaners are so strong they can burn your skin, and their fumes can irritate your eyes and lungs. Instead, sprinkle baking soda liberally over the bottom of your oven. Spray with water, then wait at least 8 hours. The next day you should be able to gently scrape and wipe your oven clean. If you do choose to use commercial oven cleaner, be sure to open windows or run a kitchen fan.
