Open the window

Whenever you use a toilet bowl cleaner, oven cleaner or any strong-smelling cleanser, make sure there’s proper ventilation. Open windows or turn on an exhaust fan. The fumes from these cleaners, including ones that contain bleach, can irritate your eyes, nose, throat and skin. A dose of fresh air — assuming your outside air is healthy — will help.
