Sitting too long

If you’re absorbed in your work, it’s tempting to stay parked in your chair for way too long. But studies keep finding more things wrong with too much sitting. It’s been linked to everything from heart attacks and heart disease to cancer, obesity and bad cholesterol. Try a standing desk. If that’s too extreme, set a timer to go off every 30 to 60 minutes to remind you to get up and move.
